FAQs
How long till I can expect to get services?
The wait times for service arrangements can vary depending on your position in the application process. If you already have a determination letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), you can expect services to be initiated within approximately two weeks. However, if you are at the beginning of your application process, it may take up to three months to receive approval and a determination letter from the DVA before we can arrange services.
Do I have to pay for the services provided by VSS?
There are no out-of-pocket expenses for our veterans regarding the coordination of their household services through Veterans Support Services.
Do I need a Gold Card to receive services?
No, as long as you have an accepted condition you may be eligible to recieve DVA funded home services.
I live outside a capital city, can I access services?
We strive to provide services to our veterans nationally. While we can also service remote areas, please note that the time frames for organising service provision in these regions may be longer compared to our metropolitan areas.
